Ski to Sea

We had a few really nice sunny days last week! They don't seem to last long so we took full advantage. We played outside, planted flowers, and made several park trips with friends. Mama hasn't been taking her camera out at every opportunity, like always, so here are a few snapshots. Friday night was the Junior Ski to Sea parade and it was a great! My brother and I sat on the curb and had a lot of fun this year (I use to be afraid of the loud drums in the bands, but this year I liked the music and even got up to dance a little!) Next weekend is the big event and we are hoping for nice weather!

I even got to get out my sunhat!

Waiting for some candy!
Sam loved it too!

A Party for Mag-Pie

My cousin Maggie turned 3 this weekend, which meant fun with the family and, of course, cake. My grandparents and Aunt Becky got here Thursday and we got right to the fun. I love it when they come to visit. We packed a lot in to the weekend, Sam and I got to use our new fishing poles and I went for a swim in Maggie's pool.

Patiently waiting for someone to get here

The sun does shine here every once in awhile
Lily? She went thata way

Yep, I put the worm on the hook by myself

Pointing out the big, fat juicy ones for Uncle Kev

Hope the fish aren't intimidated by my pink fishing pole

Geez Sam, tone it down a little there Cheeseball

Sweet smiles

Not sure what "Senior Pictures" are, but Dad asked if I thought I was posing for mine

Mags and I ready for a swim... or the ballet if the water is cold.

Mother's Day Weekend

Wow, we sure had a busy weekend around here! First, Friday we went to one of my dada's coworker's house for dinner. They have two boys, a bit older and we played together for a long time. They had a super fun playroom with all kinds of exciting toys. It was nice to meet new friends. Then on Saturday my Auntie Joanie and her boyfriend came up and we spent the day hanging out and catching up. That night I had my first babysitter too! My mom asked me if I was going to have fun with her and I said, "I certainly am!" Then on Sunday we rode a train down to Seattle for the Mariner's game. My auntie, her friend, and my grandma and papa all came too! A long day, but we had fun!

I dressed up and put on a dance performance for our company

Pure concentration
Dancing away

Getting on the train. You should have seen Sam, he was soooo excited!

I was pretty excited too!

Hanging out with papa!

Go Mariners!!

My parents had to buy me a baseball hat because they were not prepared for all the sunshine. Definitely a nice surprise. Must be a Mother's Day gift??

I said the game was fun because I got treats, this was my favorite....cotton candy!! I enjoyed a few bites, but surely could not eat that much. Sam thought it was hilarious and could not stop laughing. (He didn't really eat any just laughed at sticking his tongue close to it!)

Blue teeth even!

Spokane

Here is a quick post about our trip to Spokane last week. We had a lot of fun and it was great to see all of our family again, especially cousin Tayler who is going to be going away for a long time (to Afghanistan). Please pray for his safety and guidance as well as for his parents. Thank you!

Happy Easter! The Easter Bunny came to our house before we left.

Happy spring!
We went to a super duper fun museum in Spokane and I wanted to stay all day!

Playing in the dirt. I think I'd like a sand box?

Taking after my dada

At the park we saw some large birds....geese? I got a little too close and they hissed very loudly! I told my dada, "I think they thought I was their lunch!"

Waiting for the merry-go-round. Excited!!

So fun!

I went three times and even sat on the bench with Papa for a ride.

Mama and Dada met at EWU and we spent a day exploring campus and seeing college life.

Preparing for Bloomsday. I think I'll do it next year, what do you think? (My dada finished the race in about an hour!! Way to go dad!)

Fruit in the car on the way home

The two nicest days were the days we drove in the car (there and back). Oh well, we did get to stop in Leavenworth and enjoy icecream.

Happy Easter!

We ended up spending Easter in the car driving to Spokane but the Easter Bunny did stop by my house! My parents went to the beautiful Easter Vigil, which I am just a little too young for (since it goes so late!). My dada was a sponsor for a nice young man and my mom taught the ten kids who were baptized. I had questions for her because I thought only babies were baptized but I learned that isn't true!
A few days before Easter we had an Easter Egg hunt in our backyard with some friends and I thought I'd share a few pictures of that. I will post pictures of Spokane soon, I promise!

Helping my mama decorate the cupcakes we made for our friends

Gluing up the last few cotton balls. Whew, Lent lasts a very, very long time! (But I learned a lot during that time)
Running to find the eggs....love it!

My friend Lucy and I stopping for a photo

She found the golden egg! (But she ended up giving it to me, what a nice friend!)

Jude and I stopping to eat some candy

Treats!

I hope you all had a very blessed Easter!

Holy Thursday

Today we celebrate Holy Thursday, the day of the last supper and where Jesus washed the feet of his apostles. We read the story and saw pictures of Jesus with the towel wrapped around his waist washing the feet of his 12 apostles. Sam and I then took turns washing each others feet, just as Jesus showed us. We learned that Jesus, even though he was their master and Jesus, acted like the servant, and did this so that he can teach us to be servants to one another and be kind to others.

Sam did a good job washing mine first

Then it was my turn to wash
