Swimming Lessons

Swimming lessons began yesterday and will continue for two weeks (every morning for a half hour). Before the first class I was a little hesitant, but nothing like last year. By the end of the that class I didn't want to get out, in fact I was crying because I wanted to stay in and swim longer. Silly girl! Today was the second day and I happily put my head under and thoroughly enjoyed my lesson. I'm really happy about lessons this year too because my friend Jude is in my class. He is really excited as well and even wanted to jump off the diving board the first day! Crazy boys ;)

I'm ready!
Daddy gets to come with me to lessons most days, I like this!
Kicking on the stairs, this is how we begin every lesson
A little bright, but we are ready!

My Busy Week

I don't know where to start. I guess it would be easier if I'd update my blog a little more frequently. We had a fun busy week! It began as a full week with nothing on the calendar, but we quickly filled it up with exciting summer activities! We had a great playdate with some friends who just moved back and followed it up with an afternoon at the sprinkler park! After leaving the sprinkler park my mama asked me, "Lily, isn't summer great?" I then told her, "Yeah, but I sure wish it would get here because I am cold!" Yes, I still request my long sleeve shirts and stretch pants every day!

Also this week we went to the museum, spent a day with Grandma at her house, swam in our pool, and threw in some afternoon walks and bike rides. Exciting news.....I learned to ride my bike without training wheels. It just kinda happened! All that practicing on my balance bike really worked. My dada told me to just try it and the next thing he knew I rode all the way around the loop and he was chasing me!

My Grandma and Papa, along with Becky and Doug, are here and we celebrated my Uncle Kevin's birthday today. They are staying the week in Birch Bay and I can't wait to go up and play on the beach and spent time with them. They will stay and celebrate my birthday next weekend too! I start swim lessons tomorrow too! Whew, when is a girl supposed to rest?

Concentrating really hard on Papa's card! It was my Papa Bob's birthday this week too!
I love frogs! Each time we go to Grandma's the first place I go is down to the pond to catch a frog. This week I took my froggy on the swing for a ride. This was just one adventure I took him on!
He was a big one, and I decided to finally let him go back to his family!
Rain boots are year round attire, right?
Searching for strawberries! They are finally turning!
Time for a quick rest in my fort mama and I created
Looking at picture books with my brother. I love to look at photos of me when I was a baby.
Concert in the park. We didn't stay long, but I think we will try again next week!
Did I mention that I learned to ride my bike without training wheels?
Oh yeah, it's AWESOME!!!!!
Off to the races, mama and dada have trouble keeping up now
Grandma Bonnie joined us at the kids table. She's still a kid at heart
Happy Birthday Uncle Kevin

June Fun

This weekend consisted of a new swimming pool, a birthday party, dinner at our friend's house, Father's Day, and a friend's dance performance! Whew!

When my dada works from home I sometimes get to run errands with my mama while my brother takes his nap. On Friday we went to go pick out a new swimming pool for the summer. This is the one I picked out. I really liked the elephants on it.

He blows water too!
On Saturday my friend Ava had her 4th birthday party. It was a princess tea party and there were a lot of lovely girls there! This is me practicing my princess wave!

After the four course tea party we had a beautiful princess frame to decorate.

Happy Birthday Ava!

Eating my cupcake that I topped with princess sprinkles....Yummy!

Playing at Ava's party....she has a lot of really fun toys!

Last night I went with my Godparents to see Maddie perform her dance. I sure had fun! Can you tell I was excited?

Good Job Maddie! We are proud of you and you looked fabulous up on that stage!

School's Out

School for my mama and school for me is now complete for the year! We finished our first year of preschool with the Little Saints program. It was fun and I learned a lot, as did my mama! She is not positive on what we will do for next year but I'm sure it will be fun!
The days are getting longer and the weather is getting better and we are having fun. Our calendars are filling up with fun things such as swim lessons, bible school, and a trip to the Oregon Coast! Oh, did I forget to mention playdates with all my friends and playing in the backyard? I can't wait!

Mowing with dada out at Grandma's and Papa's house. Believe it or not, I enjoyed this even through the noise!

Hanging out with my friends Maddie and Ava. Ava and I love to dress up together and dance!

Our idea!

I just love my friends but my brother is my favorite playmate! He even plays teaparty with me!

A Sunny Weekend

A little late posting, but last weekend we had beautiful weather (finally!) My mama and Mrs. G spent Saturday morning having a garage sale, let's just say it was not a success. Maybe because everyone was out playing in the sunshine, as we ended up dong that afternoon! Mama went into the shed and dug out the sprinkler and pool later on in the afternoon! Our friends came over and we had a BBQ and played in the backyard with the bees. Update on the bees: My dad called and they are going to move them...hopefully soon!
This week was busy and I got to spend a few afternoons at school with the big kids. I really like the monkey bars there and especially love "reading" with the big girls. We are looking forward to a sunny weekend with not much on the calendar, maybe we will go swimming (I have been asking lately!)

Running in the cold water

We had to stop to rehydrate!
Taking a break

I sure love the sunshine!

Our adorable little friend Therese....isn't she getting big?

Sam and I watching a show together....my favorites these days are: Caillou, Berenstain Bears, and Little Einsteins
