One Last Visit with the Harkins

I was feeling better this morning so I told my mamma and daddy that I wanted to see Aubree again. I really wanted her to come over but instead we went up and spent some more time at the beach. Can you believe my mom forgot my bathing suit? Well, as you can see I decided to go swimming in the ocean anyway. I told mamma not to post embarrassing pictures here so here are just a few....

July Heat

We are trying to take advantage of every little ray of sunshine since it arrived a little late this year. We went swimming out at Lake Padden on Friday and went to Pioneer Days in Ferndale with my cousin Maggie on Saturday. We had fun hanging out together and then playing and eating yummy dinner. Maggie even brought icecream, cones, and sprinkles!!
My mommy and daddy's friends from college came up on Monday too and are spending a few days up at Semiahmoo, so we headed out there on Monday. It is so beautiful out there and we spent the day exploring the beach, eating lunch, and I even went swimming in the pool. Their daughter Aubree and I had fun at the beach but I was getting sick so I was a little under the weather. I have a little virus but we are hoping it is on it's way out so I can go see my grandma and papa.

Progress

I wish I had proof, but I went off the diving board today! I have let go of my teachers and am kicking and practicing with the other kids. Mama and dada are so proud! Aside from lessons, we have been spending most of our time in the backyard playing. I love summer!

This adorable little baby got baptized on Sunday and we got to go celebrate with them. I love baptisms and mom took me up front so I could watch! (I have all kinds of questions now about baptism, so my parents are searching for the video of mine!)

Baby Jordan's Grandma is visiting from Korea and she cooked up the most amazing homemade Korean food for the celebration.

This was my favorite part (and Sam's). You should have heard my brother shouting "Cake, Cake!"

Swim Lessons -Week 1

Week one complete! Let's just say everyone in the club knows who I am and I got some one on one lessons with the director. For the last two days I've been with my class, just hanging out on the teachers back (without crying!!) Progress is being made! Maybe next week I'll fully join the class. I have one more week of lessons and then we are off to Spokane so I can test out my new skills in Grandma Bonnie and Papa Jim's pool! I thought I was going to get a break from the pool today (Saturday), but the whole family decided to go for a swim. Exciting news: Sam and I both dunked our heads for the first time!! Dad says the look on my face was a combination of "I did it!" and "I can't believe you did that to me!" All in all, I'm cool with it.

Strawberry Shortcake Extravaganza!

The three are three!! Lucy, Ava, and I had a strawberry shortcake party at the gym and we sure had a blast! Enjoy the pics....

Summer is Here!

We are so lucky! Summer finally arrived this week and we have been having so much fun! Spending time with friends and playing in the water are two of my favorite things to do now. There are also two exciting things coming up that I just had to share with you...first, tomorrow my friends Lucy, Ava, and I are going to have our joint birthday party! I can't wait. Secondly, next week I am starting swim lessons! I think my parents are more excited about this one, but I will be ready when I go to Spokane at the end of the month.
