Happy Birthday Dada!

Happy Birthday to my daddy! My mom and I baked him a special cake (one he requested after watching it on A.B. -Alton Brown, with me). It was called the Tres Leche and it had a few steps in which I enjoyed helping, including the last step of eating it! I made him a special card with my new crayons and finger paint and carried it to to him this morning along with a big kiss! I love you dada!

Is it time for me to stir yet?

I liked this step...we got to poke the cake with holes!

And one handful of love While the cake is baking I got to finger paint...my hand prints are the leaves of the flower. I'm getting good at this finger painting (or at least not too sensitive about getting dirty) Don't bother me, I am concentrating very hard here Ahhh, finally time to frost (the next day) Mmmmm, are you sure I can't taste it first mom? Helping dad out with the candles. After we blew I said, "Again!" Finally...all that work paid off. Delicious! Happy Birthday dada!

Preparing to be Big Sis

I am getting excited to see my new baby brother and have enjoyed seeing babies around town lately. I know that a baby carseat has a little baby inside and I love to walk up and I even asked one lady if I could "kiss" the baby. I am looking forward to having a baby to kiss whenever I want and my momma knows I will be a big help.
I have also been helping momma around the house with chores like cleaning the floor and testing out all our baby equipment. She threw in some other pictures of what I have been up to lately as well. Some of the new things that say are "No Lily, No, No Lily," when I know I am not supposed to do something. I also say "Show you" while taking my momma's hand to show her all kinds of things around the house- I don't like her to sit on the couch for too long. I sing my "Abc's" pretty well and can even fill in the blanks when you sing them. I love watching "AB" (Alton Brown) on the Food Network with dad when he picks me up from school and I love to play "rough" with dada. Enjoy the pictures!

These pictures are a bit blurry but that is because I am too busy cleaning to stop and pose

Elmo, do you think this will work for my bro?

My Day with Dad

On Saturday I spent the day with dada and had a blast! Mom had a mommy day with a massage and very nice shower for my brother. Dad and I went to Lake Padden and went running, then to REI, and even went to Whatcom Falls to look at the fishies and waterfall. I have heard that there may be more "Days with Dad" in the future! Here are some pictures of the fun we had together.

This is the only picture from our run that isn't blurry....dad is fast!
Did you bring my fishing pole?
No? Then I am outta here!

Happy Valentines Day!

Wow, I had a fun Valentine's weekend! First, I went to school and we had a party. I got to make a heart and color with the big kids. Then, I went to my friend Carson's house and we made Valentines. His mommy is a Kindergarten teacher so she is super creative and we even did potato stamping, which was very fun and great for little hands like mine. Then on Valentine's Day I went to spend some time with my friends Maddie and Ava. We had a delicious dinner at my dada's favorite restaurant...Tino's.

Posing for the camera (a rare occasion when I sat still for more than a second)

This is my best buddy Andy. He works with my momma at school and loves me! He is teaching me how to write my name here.

My Cousin Maggie

When we were in Spokane I got to spend a lot of time with my cousin Maggie. I hear she lives pretty close to me but unfortunetly with schedules and busy parents we don't get to see each other very much. I sure had a lot of fun playing with her and I hope we convinced our parents during our trip that we need to see each other more often.

I think piano lessons are in my future

I enjoyed having Maggie hang on to me and even have her my arm a few times

Hey Maggie, what do you think about a party tonight?

We even got to take a bath together....so cute!!

My Great Grandma

My Great Grandma passed away this month so I wanted to share a little about her and some of my memories of the times we shared together. She was a very special lady who was always happy to see me. She'd bounce me on her knee, sing me funny songs, and make me laugh. She loved to hold me and we had fun times up at her river cabin. I remember how she loved her hair curled and one time I even got to have a curler in my hair! Boy, we were cute! I am so lucky to have known her and I know she is in Heaven now. I love you Great Grandma!

Fun, Fun, Fun

Sorry, my mom hasn't been very good about the blog or taking pictures lately! I have however been having a lot of fun. My moma's tummy keeps getting bigger and I have been seeing some changes around the house, but I am not quite sure what is going on. I do say "brother" and have enjoyed playing in his room and "helping" dad, but that is about it.

Mom has been taking me to gymnastics on Mondays and it is called "Mini Gymmies." It is a lot of fun, although I still don't know about the parachute or the circle time activities, the free play is more my style! I also love playing with all the fun balls they have and the swing. One more fun thing to share...on Sunday for the big game we went to my friend Carson's house. There were a lot of loud men, great food (I got just about everyone to hand me some snacks and share with me), kids to play with, and the best toys ever! Boy, Carson has a great playroom and I was glad to catch up on all the news with him...it's been a while! Well, here are some pictures from these fun events and my mom promises she will try to help me out with the blog a little more.

Hey dada, Elmo and I are ready to help...where's the brush?
I love playing in my brother's bed
A trip out to the mailbox is a lot of fun these days!
I played in this puddle for the longest time. Who knew getting "dirty" would be so much fun?
Running to get the hay down the road to mix in my muddy soup mixtureEww..ok, maybe I didn't know what the consequence actually was..."Wash, wash!!" My buddy Carson is showing me how this neat horsie works
I love boys toys...I guess having a brother won't be so bad
Where does this go Carson?
The rest of these pictures from gymnastics today. As you can see I did not stand still for a second!
