May Here We Come!

Tomorrow we begin the month of May! More spring weather I'm sure is on it's way. Hey...May and way rhyme....I'm into rhyming words lately! I sure love being outside and hanging out with my friends and brother. Nothing much is new here, just hanging out and growing, growing, growing!

Ava and I hanging out at Grandma Katie's house. It was sure fun to have my friends come over to my grandma's place!
Cute!
My new backpack and vacuum. I purchased these at my favorite store...."The Ladybug Store"
My hideout! Want to come join me in a good book?
Mom loves this pic! I told dada yesterday that I really want to go to a baseball game (too funny!)
Love the backyard!

Tulips Everywhere!!

We went down to the Tulip Festival and I had a blast! I even got to have icecream! Mmmm...my favorite part. There were so many different kinds of tulips and huge beautiful fields! Here are a couple quick pictures! I'm so busy playing outside these days...

I thought this tree was really funny!
These were some of my momma's favorites. I thought they were pretty too!
Brother and dada liked these multicolored ones.
Posing in the big fields. We were both more interested in the flowers than the camera (of course!)
These were shaped like crowns! Perfect!
Sam, let me give you a kiss!
We went to the park in Lynden for a picnic. I love the bars and but the rings are a little more challenging!
On your mark, get set, GO!!
Dada thinks he's fast, but I'm going to win!!

Gardens and Flowers

Our tulips are in full bloom and we are busy planting and experimenting with our new garden. I can't wait to see the fruits of our labor ;)

Smelling the pretty tulips
Carefully placing the bulbs in their new home
Gardening is fun! Can you see the radish sprouts coming up?
After all that hard work it was time for some yummy Nutella. Mom said I looked like a puppy, but I say, "No, I'm a Lily!"

Gymnastics Again!!

I took a little break after Sam was born and have talked my parents into taking me back to gymnastics. Actually, most of the time I don't know who is having more fun the parent or me??? Mom and dad take turns taking me and staying home with little brother (The class is at 5:30). It is great!! I get some special time with them and what could be more fun than gymnastics? I talk about it all week and when Monday comes around that is all I think about! I don't want to brag but I'm getting pretty good at my tricks. Just wanted to share a few snapshots. (Oh, and my buddy Carson just started coming with me! I'm excited about that too!)

I spend most of my time doing this
Pretty soon Ms. Tracy will have to teach me to flip around
Waiting in line to make a basket
Mom has her hand out just in case but I really did this by myself!
Love it!!

Easter

Easter Sunday was great and I enjoyed a beautiful early Mass, yummy breakfast, and more delicious food at Grandma's. Unfortunetly, my brother and I were so sick by the end of the night we couldn't stay for dessert. Imagine that! My poor brother gets really sick and needs medicine. Luckily grandma always makes sure we have leftovers to take home. I am still fighting off this cold and like the others, we usually hang on to them for at least 2 weeks, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the outdoors. I also had a couple playdates this week and always love seeing my friends.
Happy Easter Sam!
Where is your hat Mama?
Are you sure all the ladies will be wearing them?
Sam just woke up and he's sick, so cut him some slack
My first taste of popcorn - I kept asking for it after reading about it in several books
Hello Sun - oh how I've missed thee
Little did Carson know, but he was about to get a mud bath
It was fun having another teacher in the house

Easter Egg Hunt!

We had the hunt today! The weather was so crazy today (and the past few) so we didn't know if we were going to be able to do it or not. I am also fighting a little cold with a big cough. Yucky! I hope I feel better soon! Anyway, we got to search and a few friends joined me! It was pretty amusing because none of our parents let us indulge in too many sweets....imagine that!! So, this was a bit overboard considering my dad hid about 100 eggs! But we had a blast and playing together was just as fun! Can't wait for Easter Sunday tomorrow!

Waiting for friends to arrive. Sam helped me complete my cross.
GO!!! Ok...this is funny. I found the first egg and decided I had to eat that chocolate right then and there! Yummy!
This wrapper is a little tricky!
My friends Maddie and Ava looking cute and having fun!
Check these out!
Simeon and I resting and enjoying a little treat.
P.S. I even found a gold one!

Dying Easter Eggs

Did you know that the egg is just like Jesus' tomb? It is quiet and seems lifeless but within the egg there is promise of new life. Today we remember Jesus death and it is called Good Friday. Mom and I dyed and decorated eggs as we prepare for Jesus rising on Sunday. Tomorrow my friends are going to come help me hunt for eggs in the backyard...I can't wait!
