Hot, Hot, Hot!!

Wow, it was hot this week! I'm sure glad we are able to breath again. Bellingham set records for the hottest day ever (well, atleast since they starting keeping track)! We spent a day out at my Grandma and Papa's (they have air conditioning), some time at the mall, drove around a bit, and even had to have dinner out one night. I did remarkably well and even took a nap 3 days this week!
I had my 2 year check up this morning and am 23.8 pounds and 33 1/2 inches tall. Yes, still petite but nobody is worried. I spend so much time running around, must have something to do with it. Here are a few pictures of the week....
The little beach by our house. I was searching for crabs...here is one of my findings! No crabs under this one, but it sure looked like a good one to throw in the water.Checking on my baby brother
I would like some spaghetti please!
Ahhhh Ooooooo
This feels a little better
They extended the hours at the spray park for the heat wave...here I am taking a break from the sprinklers.

The Zoo!!!

I was bummed that we had to cancel our trip to see my Auntie Joanie, but wow, it is just too hot! It is supposed to get into the triple digits in Portland this weekend and I don't think that sounds very fun for my brother or even me. Maybe we will get to see her later this summer or early fall? Anyway, my dada still had Friday off so we decided to do something fun! My mom was determined to get me to see animals at the zoo this summer, so that is what they decided! I had so much fun and enjoyed seeing the many animals. My favorite were definitely the monkeys and elephants, but we also saw bears, lions, flamingos, and much more!! Mom's favorite comment of the day....while looking at the gorillas I said, "He doesn't have any clothes on!" They will laugh at that for a long time to come! Here are some pictures from our fun trip....

Checking out the bears....they were playing. It was exciting!
The penguins were having lunch

This is the gorilla...someone find him some clothes!!
Checking out the flamingos with momma
The "hooge" mommy elephant

My souvenir...a monkey of course (I picked it out!)

I Love Summer!

Yes, I LOVE SUMMER! I got to go out on Grandpa and Grandma's boat last week and catch crab! Wow, it was so fun and I was such a good girl on the boat. We went fast, pulled up heavy pots, saw a huge beautiful boat, and I even got to be captain and drive. I think the boat trip may have been better than the taste of fresh crab (I loved it!!).

I enjoy having tea parties and picnics with all of my "friends" (babies and stuffed animals). I am starting to enjoy playing make believe and my imagination is growing! My parents like to keep busy and we enjoy the many summer events here in Bellingham. Last weekend we went to part of the Raspberry Festival, watched some dogs play frisbee in a competition, swam in the lake, and had some great times out at my Grandparents house. I have also enjoyed playing with my friends this week with a few playdates. Well, I'll let you look at the pictures now...mom has been trying to do this for a while but between the fun we have and the problems with Blogger she is late. So, sorry there are so many.

Sheer happiness!
Being Captain is serious business
Those are the crabs....just look because they pinch
This huge boat came very close to us while we were pulling the pots (it was under power because there was no wind to use it's sails). It was so pretty!
Yes, mom even brought my books on the boat for me. Reading with my Papa
Yes, I am sleeping!! You know how often I sleep during the day? Well, I guess the loud engine mixed with the sound of the waves hitting the boat put me right to sleep. Boating is hard work!
Jackpot!
We went to Boxx Berry Farm and had a blast with all the neat kids events they had last weekend. I did NOT want to ride in the big wagon pulled by the huge tractor, but I guess it was worth it since I got fresh carrots.
The train....I got right in and enjoyed a fun ride!
Driving again!
Raspberry Sundaes (raspberries are my favorite berry!)
Swimming with the ducks at Lake Padden. It was cold!
Having a tea party with my baby
Here you go baby
Maybe if I pretend to be a baby, they'll lay of the potty business for awhile
Yes, I love summer!

My Week

My mom, brother, and I have all been under the weather the last couple weeks. I woke up today with a high fever and feeling really crummy! Usually I don't let colds bother me too much but this one has really gotten me down. That is why I had to look back at a fun trip I took to the park this week ....so I feel a little better.

This is part of the new stage they have down by the water. I put on my own little show!
Hey, look at this cool one!
Bye, Bye

Happy Birthday Lily!

Yeah, I'm 2! (Or as I say...."2 years old.") I had a great party with many of my family members and friends. I heard talk of fireworks and many of my friends got to go see them, but I was too tired from the days events that I had to crash in my comfy bed. I didn't even wake up from all the booms from the neighbors....my mom and dad says that is pretty impressive! Maybe I will be ready to see some fireworks next year?

I'm so lucky to have so many people who love me! Now that I am two years old I like to do things all by myself. I know all my colors and some shapes. I'm asking questions and continue to talk up a storm! I mimic my momma and dada when I play with my dolls and I give myself timeout (when needed)! Of course, I still love to be outside and I'm getting so big!

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with me and all of the birthday wishes for those of you who couldn't make it.

Brother gave me a good morning birthday kiss
A birthday hug from my cousin Maggie...wow, lots of love!
Maggie and I enjoyed the sunshine and each other's company while swimming in the pool before the party started.
This is my new bike! Do you like it?
My cute cousin....she likes pickles just like me!
Taking a little rest in the backyard (after running laps)
