Just A Little Update

My mommy doesn't have too many new pictures, but I thought I would give you a little update on my week. I have continued to enjoy going to school and playing with the big kids while mom works. I also love my time with dada. This week my language has continued to blossom and some of my parents' favorite new words are: Amen, baby, bath, and happy.

We went to the big Harvest Festival at the church this weekend and had fun seeing everyone and eating the delicious spaghetti. Most of the games and toys were too big for me and I did NOT want to go into the bouncy house. My dad worked and I got to hang out with my friend Jude while his daddy worked too!

Got Milk? (Actually I am helping my dada drink his morning protein shake...mmmm good!)
On Sunday my daddy ran the Half Marathon in Bellingham. We went down to watch him finish and celebrate! Good job dad! Someday I wish to "really" run with him; I only get to ride along in the stroller these days.

Apple Pickin'

I just LOVE the weekends! One of the fun things we did this weekend was head out to our favorite apple farm, Bellewood Acres. My momma really wanted the Honeycrisp apples, her favorite, but they aren't ready. We did however get to drive the golf cart out to the far field where they are growing to check them out. I even got to taste a sample. My dad and I agreed that my mom will have to wait, they are just not ready yet. We did come home with another variety and dad made some delicious dried apples....mmmmmm.

How fast does this thing go?

I think this is fast enough dad

More my speed, I'm in control
Look at the pretty flower I found!
Delicious, now can I have my own?
This may look like I am eating the flower, but really I was sniffing (no hands!)

I know it's been a while since I have posted so I thought it was time for a little update on "The Life of Lily." My mom started working at school again, but luckily it is only for a few hours a day. It is at the After School Program and I get to go with her! She brings me for the first hour or so and then dada picks me up for some quality dad time until she comes home. It is great for all of us! I really like to play with all the kids at school and they love me too. The kids take me outside to play and I even get to go down the big slide, which I enjoy much better than watching my mom help kids with homework. Boring!

My mom and dad say I am growing into a little girl right before their eyes. As you can tell by the pictures on this post I am very busy and exploring everything.

Dewey Decimal What?
Is this the weed or does this one stay? (Do you like my new boots?)
Where is the water?
Hmmm..not so good
Better
This feels great on my new teeth (I'm getting my last set -the dreaded eye teeth)

MMMMM

Are You Ready For Some Football?!?!?!?!

We kicked off the Seahawks season with a delicious family brunch (mom made Leek and Cheddar Strata) and a bright outlook for the new season....unfortunetly that did not last long. We won't discuss the details but lets just say that dad spent the second half mowing the lawn and I was asleep. I do like football time with the family, yeah -mom's a fan too.

I can't hear dad, let's turn it up
Give me a Sea, Give me a Hawks!
It is still early
Your fired Holmgren, I'm calling the plays now

Enjoying the Final Days of Summer

My mom and dad love to take me to this local park....Boulevard Park. We love it there! I recently realized how much fun it is to throw rocks and try to make it to the water. One of the fun parts is also to find the perfect rock. We are sad to see summer coming to a close but have enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend and hope it continues.

Labor Day Trip to "The River"

My daddy's family has beautiful property over on the Pend Oreille River near Ione, Wa. We headed over the North Cascades Highway on Tuesday and stayed the night in Winthrop. This was a great break in the LONG drive! My mom packed all kinds of books (my favorite these days) and I did very well in the car. The next morning we continued our drive and headed for The River!

When we arrived at the "cabin" I got out of the car and said, "Wow" and emphatically signed water over and over. My parents thought this was pretty funny, especially since we live by the water and see it quite frequently. I also decided it was time to start talking. I try to repeat almost everything and say all kinds of things now such as duck, up, down, cracker (my mom's favorite), ball, and of course my favorite, ruff. It was our family's last summer vacation and it was great! I got to see my dad's whole side of the family and we had a lot of fun. Here are some pictures of the things I enjoyed the most (WARNING.....LOTS OF PICTURES)

What shall we have for breakfast? It is my turn to cook for everyone
I don't get ice cream at home....vacation rules!
