Spaghetti Mess

I guess mess is an understatement for what I did with my spaghetti the other night. I first wanted to see how far I could fling the spaghetti across the room. Then I decided to give it a try and came to the conclusion that it wasn't all that bad. Eating the angel hair noodles was a challenge, but I sure liked the meat sauce. Here are some pictures of the event. (Yes, mom had fun cleaning it up!)

Summertime Fun!

Wow, summer is a blast! I don't remember ever having this much fun or seeing so much sunshine, I love it! Last week I went to the circus with my friends Max and Lucy. It wasn't that great, but I did get to see elephants. I thought my Grandma's dog Brewster was huge, boy I had no idea! (I think that every animal says "Woof"...mom thinks it is pretty funny).

This week I started taking a few steps. I am still very cautious on my feet, but yet very proud of the few steps I can take. As you know, time is precious and crawling gets me there faster.

Hey Max, we could do this acrobat stuff

"Woof" Water please (the sign for water -my version) Left, right, repeat Thanks for cheering me on mom and dad Whew, I just made it I love my buddy Elmo

Like father, like daughter (mom thinks I am older than I really am...she is crazy!) I told her all done with my signs and tried to make a break for it. Maybe in a few months???
We went to a really great raspberry farm to pick berries. The berries were plump, plentiful, and pesticide free! Wow, they were delicious. Dig in!Just a few taste tests
Dad caught too (didn't I just say, like father like daughter?)
I only got a little on my shirt
Finally, some time at home. My favorite thing to do in my backyard is play with the rocks. I like my toys and all, but these are great.

My Daddy is Amazing!

Last Saturday my daddy did his first Triathlon, along with at least 200 other people. He has been training for months and did such a great job! It was at Clear Lake down near Mount Vernon. There was a great park, swimming hole, and lots to do while we watched. They even had a kid mini triathlon. I can see it now....(Someday!)

Before the crazy swim take off. They all left at the same time and it was crazy watching the water. My daddy is a very good swimmer!

After the swim he rode his bike then ran. I decided these cones needed to be moved a bit for the returning runners.
Daddy and Rob (whom he talked into doing the triathlon with). Proud finishers!!
My daddy finished 49th overall and 6th in his age group. Not bad for his first!

Friends Galore!

Whew! My social life has been so crazy lately! I have had birthday parties, BBQs, and other get togethers, and have enjoyed seeing so many friends. It seems like my mom has something planned for us every day! The weather is beautiful and I love going on walks, swinging, walking with my push cart, and playing in the backyard. Here are some snapshots of the fun I have been having.

Last weekend I went down to Seattle to meet up with mom and dad's friends Catie and Rod. We all got to meet their daughter Aubree for the first time. We had fun together but just wish they lived closer. I think we have a lot in common!
Playing in my baby pool in the backyard. Do you like my tan?
This is my friend Carson (yes, a boy - friend!)
Lily with a Lily
I discovered a unique way to hold my cup
My friend Lucy turned 1. Now all three of us girls are 1

I'm 1 Year Old!!!

Well, I am a year old now. I have learned so much in the past 365 days. My parents keep wondering where their baby has gone. I am still not taking independent steps; I thought I would give my parents a break. I am however getting very good with my sign language. Some of my recent signs are eat, more, thank you, and my favorite- please. Wow, I should have learned that one a long time ago....it gets me what I want (most of the time).

I had a great birthday. We celebrated at my house and a lot of my family and friends were there too. I can't believe how many people love me! I sure am lucky!! Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed beautiful weather, fellowship, and my first year.

The day began with a huge blueberry birthday pancake. Yes!!!
If it is my birthday I better mark it with a milestone. (This is the first time I went from sitting to standing on my own)
Hmmmm.....ice cream or no ice cream with my cupcake
"Ham" burgers
You have got to try this watermelon!
Can you say "Cupcake Coma?"

Are all these for me?

Thank you everyone! Here's to another year full of fun, family, firsts, and friends. I love you all!
