The Fair and Hiking

Last weekend we went to the Lynden Fair. We went early Saturday morning and had a good experience there. I enjoyed the animals, and wanted to pet everything. I also got to go on the ferris wheel with my mama. Unfortunetly Sam wasn't quite big enough for the rides, and not to mention they were crazy expensive!! We did get to have some cotton candy and several glasses of cold lemonade. It was actually really hot!

This silly alpaca was making some very interesting noises at us

Petting the goats
Looking at those cute new little piggies, only 1 day old!

13 little babies!

Going up! I loved it!

At the park later in the week with Maggie, she was a princess!

My pretty cousin

This weekend we went out the the North Shore of Lake Whatcom and went for a family hike. We packed our lunch and ate on the beach and even saw a waterfall. It was a great day!

Our Summer Vacation

I guess it was two weeks ago now, sorry for the delay. We had a terrific vacation and my brother and I just LOVED the beach! Sam has some more pictures on his blog and he and I are planning a trip back there, soon!

After driving in the car all day...Finally, the ocean!

By the time we made it to the beach, grabbed some dinner, and played on the beach for a bit it got a bit chilly. I guess playing in the ocean and getting all wet didn't help but dada offered his sweatshirt to me, Thanks Dad!
Day 2, constructing my sandcastle (after the tide claimed my first one, that was tough!)

Jumping waves with my Auntie Julie

Trying the skim board, fun! I think next year I'll get good at this.

Playing in the water, the weather was just perfect!

Walking out with mama

I wrote my name in the sand! I found a stick and did it all by myself, pretty cool!

As if the beach wasn't fun enough, they have swings!

Crab, need I say more?

Having ice cream with cousin Maggie, I am so glad she got to come to the beach too. We had a lot of fun playing together.

Riding on the front of the bike with Grandma, Papa, Mama, and Daddy. Sam and I had so much fun being up front and navigating. Who says you need to see to navigate?

Silly goose!
The aquarium down on the beach was really neat. We got to feed the seals (some stinky food) and touch a lot of different animals. This is the big octopus, so cool!
Maggie and I checking out some neat fish that we had never seen before.
The stinky seal food
Chillin on the beach waiting for some big waves
All this fresh air and running around made us really hungry. It was tricky eating on the beach and some things tasted a little gritty ;)
Flying my kite with daddy
Whew, look at all that crab. Do I look excited or what? Thanks Grandma and Papa for a terrific dinner on our last night. What a fun trip!
I love my papa!
Auntie Julie bought me this beautiful crown and I borrowed Maggie's skirt to become a princess. I told her the only thing missing was a wandWe stayed in a hotel on the way home in Vancouver so we could see Auntie Colleen, Pedro, and my mama's cousin and her kids. We also saw Auntie Joanie!! I had been talking about the pool the whole trip and I had to make the best out of our one day there.
I even went in the hot tub with Bernard
These water wings are amazing!
The fun park across from our hotel

Ahh, the best part of hotel staying....bed jumping and tricks!!

So fun!

Berry Picking

We went raspberry picking this week and had a blast! Sam and I had our own buckets and I picked a bunch! We are heading to the beach (Oregon Coast) this weekend for a few days. Grandma Bonnie, Papa Jim, Aunt Julie, Uncle Kevin, and Maggie are all going too! We are missing Aunt Becky and Uncle Doug. I'm so excited and will be just like Ladybug Girl, one of my favorite stories.

One for me, one for the bucket....
A quick pic before mama put us to work
I'm saying "Please" not "cheese" - as in "Can I PLEASE have a break?"
Look at this beautiful carrot I harvested

Nature Girl

I love the outdoors and all forms of nature. You have heard about my love for frogs, worms, bugs, butterflies, and fish. This week I let my butterflies go, which was a big deal! I let Jenna and Colby (friends from school) help and I didn't even cry! Along with my adventures in the outdoors this week came lots of sunshine, which I love. We ate dinner outside and spent a lot of time in the slip and slide. Can you believe that a group of raccoons ruined all our outdoor toys? The pool, slip and slide, and all the balls were popped. We replaced the slip and slide, which I am thankful for and now we will remember to bring in all of our toys.

Feeding papa's fish some worms that grandma and I dug up

See?
Jenna and I playing cookies, she was a good baker!

We went on a walk to the beach. I walked the whole way there and back!

On our fun Friday Night outing....Walk, hike, dinner at a restaurant, and then a park!!

Playing in the creek at the end of our hike. We loved this place and will have to return!
