Poor Lily had the terrible flu last week (after receiving a flu shot a few weeks ago). It was miserable! It is possibly the worst thing to watch your baby throw up and be so upset about it. I think Lily was more upset about the mess than anything and kept saying, "Uh oh." Unfortunately Matt was also out of town so we hung in there and made it through a very long night. I didn't feel that great for a few days, but luckily didn't get it as bad as our poor little girl. Hopefully, the flu won't come around again for a long time!
Lily amazes us more each day with her speech and how smart she is. She now says, "I love you," which is possibly the cutest thing ever! She will repeat anything and is pretty proud of herself, especially when saying people's names. Lily is also repeating things and says "naughty" or "good girl" when I say it. She believes the louder the better and she makes us laugh so hard sometimes!
Now for the funny story....Lily usually goes to the bathroom (sorry for the embarrassing story Lily) in the morning. Yesterday she looked at me and said, "Poop" while pulling at her diaper. Then today she did the same thing after going to the bathroom and pulled the diapers (apparently she thought she needed more than one) out of the basket on the changing table. I asked her if she could lay down and she freely laid down and let me change her. This is very unusual for her since she rarely likes to sit still, even for a short diaper change. Wow, she is growing up way too fast!
