Track Night and a Field Trip

Monday nights in Bellingham the Parks and Rec put on a track and field night for all ages, babies to adults!  We decided to go check it out and Sam and I raced.  It was fun!  We don't really understand the whole winning or competition yet, but it will come soon enough we are sure.
Sam waiting for the events to start.  He liked the numbers on the field.
Landing the long jump!
Daddy is rooting me on!
Practicing before the actual races.
Look at that smile!
Racing!  Jumping hurdles!
Here I am jumping hurdles, they must raise them up a little for the next age group?
Love the cheers!
Rooting on my brother!  (Notice all the other racers?)
So proud of him!
We went on a little walk after dinner the other day and baby fell asleep, so sweet!
I think I have shared before about our biweekly meetings with two family friends.  We are trying to venture outside now that it is summer.  Yesterday we went to one of Mrs. Segel's friend's farms.  We saw a lot of cows and even got to hang out with some  babies.  I was scared at first of the loud mooing noise but I soon realized that they were calm.  I warmed up and even petted some of the babies.  Sam loved the place!  He especially enjoyed the "petting cow" as he called him.  He was the cow that wasn't afraid of all the kids and enjoyed a lot of love from us.  After our time at the farm we went up and had a picnic on a nice hill at her house.  We played and explored the outdoors, one of my favorite things to do.  I found all kinds of "treasures" and took off my shoes to store them in.  What a fun day!

This was the "petting cow" and here is Sam and Mary
I think he wants to live on a farm!
All the kids and mommies
Me petting one of the cows.  I didn't really like the feel of his tongue, I said it felt like "crust running across my hand."
Nicholas enjoying the picnic afterwards in his seat.  He was getting some rare vitamin D.
