Busy October

Last weekend we participated in the first Trail Classic, or Anna's Walk. It honored our friend Anna who is up in Heaven with Jesus. We walked around Lake Padden with others to support the wonderful foundation created by her parents and to spread the word about distracted driving.

I walked a little bit but I'm glad my parents brought the stroller because teddy and I got really tired
The sun came out for the start of the walk and upon finishing the rain showed up, perfect timing
I just had to play on the playground when we were done walking (in the pouring rain!)
One night this week we carved pumpkins. I had two ideas, one was eye lashes and lips, the other was an "up down, up down face." Mama and I drew out my idea (the second) and dada did the carving. I loved it this year! I had so much fun playing in the guts and sat for a very long time picking out pumpkin seeds and separating them, definitely a change from past years.
Yummy?
My Jack-O-Lantern!
I think I wrote last post about our very good friends moving away. They left on Friday so we spent some time this week together and saying goodbye. It was Elijah's 3rd birthday so we had a nice dinner and cake for him too.
All the kids. We love you guys!
Setting the timer on the camera, a little challenging with so many trying to cram in, but we made it work.
Jude and I (we are planning on being pen pals ;)
One last silly face for the blog
Grandma Bonnie and Papa Jim came over Friday night to hang out and we had perfect weather to go out to Stoney Ridge. Cousin Maggie picked out a pumpkin and it was the last weekend so nobody was there! It was so nice!
Mama and I on the hay ride down to the pumpkin patch, we love this place!
My beautiful cousin Maggie and her perfect pumpkinWalking through the corn maze, or should I say mud pit?
We liked these ones...Silly girls!
After our trip to the farm we all went down town for some early trick or treating. All the businesses participated in a neat event. I saw some scary costumes, but had fun! I wonder what the real Halloween will be like??
I decided last minute that I wanted to be a kitty cat (after seeing a picture of Dora dressed as one). So mama put this together last minute and I set out for some yummy candy!
Sooo tired, and ready to go home!

Pumpkins and Good Byes

It is hard to say, but another family we love is moving. Mama told me yesterday and at first I just thought they were moving to another house, but then I understood. I said, "Why? But now we are only going to have a pair of friends left!" We are all very sad about the Grignon's leaving, even though we know they are going to live by their family and pursue their dreams. We pray they will be happy and have a smooth transition. We will miss them so very much! Yesterday we went to baby Therese's First Birthday. It was a wonderful party!
On a happier note, today we went out to pick pumpkins. I want my pumpkin to have lips and eyelashes when we carve it so I had to find a nice, big, round one. I think I found the perfect one! The farm had some other neat things to do, including a train ride, corn maze, hay ride, and park. It wasn't as great as the one we usually go to but it was fun.

Mrs. G with her birthday girl! We love you guys!
Happy Girl!
Mama shared her sunglasses with me. What a beautiful fall day!
Taking a ride
Being silly, love this one!
We filled our wheel barrow up! Can you believe my dada pushed us along with all of our pumpkins?

Last Week

Auntie Joanie came and left two weekends ago and we had a fun visit. Last weekend we headed out to cloud mountain for some fall fun. I have been wanting to stay home a lot lately and we have been busy with a new couple additions to our little preschool program mama is doing with us at home. It is a lot more fun and Sam is joining in on a lot of projects now too. I hope everyone has a great week! My mama and dada are headed out on a trip this week (dada for work and mama is tagging along) so Sam and I are staying with Grandma Katie. I'm excited but I don't know how Sam feels about it ;)

Sweet goodbye loves
These pumpkins and squashes come in the most interesting shapes and sizes! Some even have bumps!
A little mini pumpkin, just my size
Concentrating hard while I paint my pot
This is fun!
I found this pretty hydrangea and said, "Mom, take a picture," then proceeded to pose. Silly girl. This is for you Auntie Becca, I know you love hydrangeas and we miss you guys!
Looking at apple trees, maybe someday?
Liking the camera these days
This is firewoman Lily, a fun puppet I made
