Finally...My First Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everyone! Boy, it was a long Advent season. This year we spent Christmas with my Grandma Katie and Auntie Joanie. Unfortunately my Grandpa Bob had to work on Christmas. What a bummer, although I did get to talk to him on the phone. I am getting pretty good at my talking. My Christmas began at our house with a delicious breakfast (only I just got to watch!!). It followed by a nice brisk walk and then we headed to Grandma's to open presents and have a delicious dinner (again, I only got to watch). I received a wealth of great presents (THANK YOU EVERYONE!) and I especially loved the wrapping paper! Wow, I am sure a lucky little girl.

When can we start? I am just too excited!

Baby Jesus is born! (Putting him on the Nativity)

Wake up Auntie Joanie, it is time to play! Santa, I am supposed to sit on your lap.

My parents said I was a gift, but did they really have to wrap me up?

I must have been good, even if it was only for half the year.

These are mine dad!

Still smiling after a long day, but ready to go home.

Christmas Eve

The sun came out today (after what seems to be weeks upon weeks of rain and darkness) and we decided to bundle up and get out to enjoy the beautiful day. Grandma Katie, Auntie Joanie, Mom, Dad, and I went down to the park and walked along the boardwalk. Boy, I think everyone in town was down there! After a brief nap (definitely not long enough for me) we were dressing up and heading to Christmas Eve Mass. Happy Birthday Jesus!

Brr....you can't see but I actually have mittens on (little sockies)
Christmas is fun already and Santa Claus hasn't even come yet
Grandma has a nice Christmas Tree too!
But this tree is just my size!
Good thing I haven't walked in these or this would be gross.
Autie Joanie evaluating my developmental skills
Santa, I have been really good and I left some delicious cookies on the mantel (unless my daddy ate them)

Still Waiting for Christmas

So we were taking some pictures today by the tree and I loved all the bright colors and shiny ribbon. My hands were going so fast, I'm surprised they aren't a blur in the pictures.

What's that tag say? Who cares, I'm rippin in!
Maybe I can wrap this paper around me. Where ARE my clothes?
I love my jumper and continue to mimick the motion for hours after a good session
Jump around. Jump around. Jump up, jump up and get down!

Tis the Season

We spent the weekend getting ready for Christmas. First, we went to Stoney Ridge Farms to pick out our Christmas Tree and then we decorated the tree and our house. I am pretty excited about Christmas and I have been trying to be good.

Me and Dad in front of the tree I picked out
They had a live camel at the Nativity Scene, sorry no pics of the camelHey Santa, this one's mine!
In my mouth or on the tree???
Thanks for the help Dad and Mom, why didn't you comb my hair this morning?

My First Glimpse of Snow

Well, it is December 1st and there is snow on the ground, though I don't think it will stay long. I am glad I didn't have to go skiing with dad to see it even though I have my very own pair of snow pants.

I wish this were a sled, but this is pretty cool

Hey, are you guys going back inside? Wait for me!

Mah thung ish thuck ta mah thibber

CUTE

These are just a couple pictures my mom took of me being CUTE! I am getting use to that flash that I see almost on a daily basis. She is crazy with that thing!

My First Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving with my dad's side of the family in Spokane, dinner was at my Great Aunt and Uncle's home. I cannot wait until I can eat big people food, everything smelled so good. It was nice getting to see our family again.

Looks like dad had too much turkey.
I hope you're not laughing at the turkey on my shirt!
This is my Great Uncle Jim and Great Aunt Sherry, we didn't get any pics of them last time we were here. He's a funny guy!
Is it my turn to eat yet?
Hey mom, I got tired of waiting for my other bottle, though this one doesn't seem to work

Off to Spokane

We went to Spokane for Thanksgiving, more pictures on that later. It was really cold there, I'm not sure it ever got above 32* F, but it didn't snow. I guess I'll have to go skiing with dad to see snow.

Bundled up to go out an' about - dang it's cold.
Me and Grandma playing the piano - I loved it!
Look, I can feed myself. Ok, there isn't really anything on the spoon.

Hangin' With Dad

I'm a little behind in my posting, but will try to catch up today. I spent last Sunday with Dad, playing games and watching football. We had a great time and I'm quickly becoming "Daddy's Little Girl"

Trying on Dad's hat for the game

Still in my Sunday Best - such a cute outfit

Sometimes the games get a little boring

Another attempt at wearing dad's cap, much better this time

Sunday Routines

Sundays are fast becoming my favorite day of the week. We usually go over to my Godparents home with some other friends. We girls hang out while our Dads watch football and the Moms complain about how all the dads do is watch football. I'm excited because I have time with my friends. This week we took our four month picture.

Uh, no - we're not plotting anything. Why, do we look suspicious?

It's hard to tell, but I have my first 'ponytail' on top of my head. More like a little hair geyser.

4 Months

So, I had my 4 month doctor's appointment last week and I am 13.2 pounds and 23" long. The doctor says that I take after my mom this way, a little on the small side (at least I get something from her). He also said I can start eating some rice cereal and begin some foods. Boy, was I excited to hear that. I gobbled up my cereal and nobody would even believe it was my first time.
