Kindergarten!

The day finally came, my countdown is done!  The first day (yesterday) was a half day with Mass so we didn't spend that much time in the classroom.  The morning started off with my mommy and daddy coming in singing to me as they woke me up.  I had a rough night being up coughing, but I was still excited!  I eagerly got dressed but wasn't too hungry yet.  Everyone else got ready, took some pictures, and we were off!  (This all before the normal time I wake up!)  When we got to the school my whole family came into the classroom with me and we put away supplies and took more pictures, you know my mama.  My teacher is Ms. Carrier and I love her already!  She read us a story on the carpet and Sam sat right by me.  The parents left and I met my 8th grade buddy.  Her name is Maggie, just like my cousin!  She is so nice and there are plenty of other 8th graders who are so nice to me.  This was my mama's last class she taught before having me!  Today was a "real" day of school, 8-3!  Good think I remembered my rest blanket!

What a gentleman!  My backpack was getting a little heavy from the supplies, so Sam offered to carry it for me!

If you have read the book, The Kissing Hand, you know what I'm doing here.  Mommy and daddy were giving me hugs and leaving me in my classroom.  Can you believe there were no Kindergartners who cried??

Ms. Carrier showing us where we get picked up every day.  There are 16 kids in my class, 8 boys and 8 girls!
