Our Summer Spokane Trip

We went over to Spokane this month to celebrate the wedding of Daddy's cousin Tayler and also to celebrate our friends' baptisms (More on that on Sam's Blog).  We had a lot of fun hanging out with the family, introducing Nicholas, and of course swimming in the pool.  It was very hot and the pool was a "Cooler Offer!"  We are now done with our summer road trips and getting ready for me to start Kindergarten.  I have made a countdown and it currently reads just 11 days!!  More on school later.  Check Nicholas' Blog for a few videos too!!

"Riding the merry-go-round is fun, but spending time with friends is even more fun!"

Mama and Ms. Catie

When we were in Spokane we spent a night in the tent with Daddy.  "We camped out!"

"I'm a monkey.  I climbed all the way up the pole!"

"I love swimming in the pool, but I like my brother too!"

"I have my water wings and I even jumped off the diving board."  I practiced all the skills I learned at swim lessons this year and by the end of our time in Spokane I was going off the diving board without the wings and trying to swim by myself.  Can't wait for more lessons.

One day we went up to Green Bluff with Grandma and we found some sheep to feed.

Sam and I wanted to sit by cousin Carlee, she is very fun!

Swim Lessons

We started swimming lessons last week and this year Sam gets to do them too!  We originally thought we were going to be in the same class but we aren't, that is ok though.  Sam was excited at first but I don't think he knew what was in store.  I, on the other hand, was a bit nervous at first and did not want to put my face in the first few days but now I'm jumping eagerly off the diving board and even went all the to the bottom of the deep end with my teacher!  My parents wish I could do some more lessons this summer, I'd probably be swimming on my own!

Vacation -Part 2 (Brookings)

On Tuesday we woke up and headed on the road again, this time to Brookings, Oregon.  We drove down Hwy 101, which was absolutely beautiful.  Why Brookings?  Well, our good friends and my Godparents live there.  Maddie is also my parents' Goddaughter.  Godfamily all around!  They moved last year for Uncle Nick's job.  We are happy for them but miss them dearly.  I have been waiting to see my best friend Ava and her new house for a very long time and we couldn't have had a better time!  It was well worth the 9 hours it took from Seaside, but hey we have a van!  Yesterday I made up a song after heading to Fred Meyer with my mom.  "I'm living in a car that won't stop driving!"  Wish I could sing the tune for you here.  Anyway, here is a "few" pictures of our spectacular time with our Godfamily and the wonderful memories that will be with us forever!
Auntie Becca makes amazing breakfast every morning!  Yummy!

Playing with Maddie and Ava!

Little Gianna was very curious as to why this new baby was in her swing

Going on a hike down to Harris Beach with daddy and Uncle Nick

Waiting for the fire.  Something must have been very funny, what was it Sam?

I just love the ocean!

Surf's Up!!

And so does my daddy.  This is him body surfing and Uncle Nick in with him.  They are kids at heart!

We found a cool beach fort and were imagining there were pirates living in it.

We went to a place called Ocean World one day in Crescent City.  This is the city where they will be moving next weekend to be closer to Uncle Nick's work.  They found a beautiful house to buy and we are planning our next visit.  Next week mama??

We got to pet real sharks!  (I got better pictures on my camera, I'll have to figure out how to upload those)

Sam was so tired on the way back to their house that he fell asleep in the car with his lollypop.  It was so funny as he drowsily licked and bobbed his head.

Best friends forever!

Baby Gianna having fun in the sand too!

The last night we had a beach fire and roasted smores!  What could be better?

The Sunset was oh so beautiful, but impossible to capture on the camera.

Maddie is so good with the babies!  We love you Gonnellas!!
