Track Night and a Field Trip

Monday nights in Bellingham the Parks and Rec put on a track and field night for all ages, babies to adults!  We decided to go check it out and Sam and I raced.  It was fun!  We don't really understand the whole winning or competition yet, but it will come soon enough we are sure.
Sam waiting for the events to start.  He liked the numbers on the field.
Landing the long jump!
Daddy is rooting me on!
Practicing before the actual races.
Look at that smile!
Racing!  Jumping hurdles!
Here I am jumping hurdles, they must raise them up a little for the next age group?
Love the cheers!
Rooting on my brother!  (Notice all the other racers?)
So proud of him!
We went on a little walk after dinner the other day and baby fell asleep, so sweet!
I think I have shared before about our biweekly meetings with two family friends.  We are trying to venture outside now that it is summer.  Yesterday we went to one of Mrs. Segel's friend's farms.  We saw a lot of cows and even got to hang out with some  babies.  I was scared at first of the loud mooing noise but I soon realized that they were calm.  I warmed up and even petted some of the babies.  Sam loved the place!  He especially enjoyed the "petting cow" as he called him.  He was the cow that wasn't afraid of all the kids and enjoyed a lot of love from us.  After our time at the farm we went up and had a picnic on a nice hill at her house.  We played and explored the outdoors, one of my favorite things to do.  I found all kinds of "treasures" and took off my shoes to store them in.  What a fun day!

This was the "petting cow" and here is Sam and Mary
I think he wants to live on a farm!
All the kids and mommies
Me petting one of the cows.  I didn't really like the feel of his tongue, I said it felt like "crust running across my hand."
Nicholas enjoying the picnic afterwards in his seat.  He was getting some rare vitamin D.

Lily's Photography

If my mama leaves her phone laying around I take that opportunity to take some pictures!  I must have watched my mama over the last 4 years constantly snapping pictures, because I figured this out all on my own!  I navigate the phone to get to the camera, stage things, change settings, and take pictures!  One of my favorite parts is going back and looking at the pictures.  I just wanted to take a minute to share some of my photos with you....

An Early Birthday Present!

Well, my real birthday isn't for a month but my parents decided since the weather has been so nice and to get more use of it, they would give me my present early.....a new trampoline!!  I was outside playing all day watching my dada put it together, what a project! Thank you daddy!  We all had so much fun this afternoon jumping, running, and laughing together.
In other news my Papa Bob came home and got to meet Nicholas.  It was so great to see him but he is off again for training and super busy.  We had a quiet week but enjoyed family time outside.  Mama even took all of us on a walk/run to the park.  The run there refers to the short spurts she had to do to keep up with me on my bike.  I'm going some longer distances on my bike sometimes even going with daddy on his runs.  We have been doing a lot of barbequing and ate outside tonight.  Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone!

A smile captured :)
Sweet sleeping baby picture
After bath one night I let mama braid my hair for curls the next day.  This seems to work best for curls that last.  Don't I look so big?
Sam has been making forts to sleep in for nap time.  He puts a blanket down first to lay on then surrounds himself with his many pillows.  Silly boy, anything to build a fort!
This is Nicholas in the back of the stroller on our walk.  He was awake the whole way there, enjoying the fresh air.
Riding away.  Don't worry, I take lots of breaks picking up bugs and picking flowers.
Nicholas had his first bottle today and I got to give it to him!  He took it like a champ and I enjoyed being mini mommy.
And here are the trampoline pics.....

It was so hot we put the sprinkler under the trampoline to create some extra fun times!!

Beautiful Spring

The weather has been just beautiful here the past two weeks.  We have been playing in the backyard, having picnics and running the sprinkler!!  Sam and I even had to put on sun screen.  What else is new around here?  Well, we planted a little garden this year, nothing too elaborate.  My little brother is growing like crazy and getting use to this big world.  On Wednesday we went to the fun EDP party with the kids at school where my mom works.  It was so fun!  We had water balloons, a pinata, and even ice cream sundaes!!  My mom's Aunt and her husband were up this weekend to meet Nicholas and visit with the family.  We have had visitors every weekend since his birth I think!!  Fun, fun!

Yummy peanut butter and jelly picnic at the park
Nothing better than a cold popsicle.  Is it really the beginning of May?
Cooling off

Can you spot Sam and I?  We are listening carefully to the directions.
The waterballoons didn't last too long in the toss between Sam and I, but I managed to get another one and save it almost all day!!
Sam swinging at the pinata.  He got away with no blindfold!
Thomas helping me find the pinata.  I was all mixed up after the spin.
My friend Simeon and I watching and waiting for the candy to fall out.  He will be in my class next year!
Sam and I went to soccer again last week
Grandma found these soft rollers to make my hair curly!
Waiting for them to dry and posing.  Don't know where all these poses come from??
Mrs. Lewis was so kind and sent some empty balloons home so we could make our own.  We love them!

Oh, check Nicholas' blog for baby pictures.  We forgot to put them here this week.  Hope you have a great week.  We are back to rain and drury Washington days this week.
